Just thought I would post a pic of the incubators we use. This is our 5th one but they get better each time.

i see u have the heat tape in roll on the bottom .does that work better than having it on the back? We actually do leave it in a roll but not the way the photo shows. We roll it out to the outer edges and have a small fan that blows up. Every setup is a bit different, We usually use a digital thermometer that has two probes and we monitor each level and move the fan around until we get the best readings. Sometimes the top stays warmar and you need to blow the fan down from the top. I had an issue with a back heated incubator last year and just feel this works better. I may attach it to the walls ?

I use johnson controls a-419, These are on off type thermostats. they keep the temp between 87-89 just fine. They work just fine and im a believer of if it works dont try to fix it!

Bryan, How much heat tape does it take to run the incubator? Is it 11" 20 watt?

This incubator is very well insulated and I found a 3ft length of 4in heat tape works fine. I have used a 1 ft length of 11in as well. I usually monitor temps on each level for a week to insure stable temps. Sometimes you need to move the fan around.
